About Us
We are a growing group of people from a variety of backgrounds who are concerned about the Columbia River Crossing project. We include business owners, retirees, employees in the public and private sectors, professionals in such fields as transportation and economics, environmental activists, and bike riders. Some of us were even instrumental in the fights to kill the Mt. Hood Freeway and the West Side Bypass.
If you want to join us, please contact your favorite environmental organization, especially ones that have signed on to the Coalition for a Livable Future’s “Climate Smart” pledge, (see CLF Position )
and ask what they are doing to help change the direction of this flawed project. They should help connect you with like-minded people, and if you are really committed to this fight, we are sure that they can help put you in contact with us.
At a lower level of committment, please check out
Climate Smart Columbia River Crossing, the Coalition for a Livable Future's Campaign Signup site.
As individuals, we have all put our names on letters to the editor, opinion articles, and public testimony, but as a group we have chosen to emphasize not who we are, but what we have to say. We have chosen to let the facts speak for themselves on this site. We hope to see you at the hearings, where we can introduce ourselves in person!
Please make use of our information. We are volunteers, and so far we do not have the resources to accept e-mail at this site – otherwise we would welcome your feedback and direct help.
